An Unbelievable Commercial About Weight Loss
I was just in the break room where I work and saw the most unbelievable commercial for a weight loss product called Lipozene.
The commercial went on to say all the reasons why people gain weight – stress, having kids, poor diet, and lack of exercise. Then in the same sentence they went on to say how they have come up with this pill that will help you lose weight as opposed to eliminating stress, eating right, and start exercising. Unbelievable!
What is even more amazing is that I am sure there were people at that very moment listening to that commercial saying to themselves “I wonder if that pill would work for me?”. It is amazing how things can be spun right in front of of our eyes sometimes and we completely miss it.
Amazing.

Anticipating the iPhone 2.0 Release
I am an avid user of my iPhone. My life is completely intertwined with my iPhone. I check the weather on it at night before I go to bed. It wakes me up in the morning. I read all of my RSS feeds on it along with email, text, … you get the idea.
Well the rumors have been flying around that the next version of the iPhone is eminent. This new version is supposed to have 3G and GPS. It is also rumored that it could be selling for less then the first generation iPhones. The recent shortage of the first gen iPhones in Europe and Apple her in the States points to the fact that we could see iPhone 2.0 any day now.
As cool as 3G, GPS, and more memory would be it is the official support for 3rd party applications that I am looking forward to. I have had my phone jailbroken for quite some time so I have a plethora of 3rd party apps on my phone already. Some of the apps are so useful that I would be willing to pay money for them but… I do not look forward to firmware updates that are going to add more functionality to my phone but break my paid-for apps.
Austin Community College Coming to Round Rock
The votes are in and the citizens of Round Rock have welcomed Austin Community College with open arms. This is significant because it decreases the amount of tuition for Round Rock residents by almost 2/3′s. Along with decreasing tuition ACC plans to build and open it’s largest campus to date for 12,000 students right her in Round Rock.
I for one am glad that the measure passed. I have 3 little ones that will be going to college sometime in the future and it will save me a whole lot of money if they can do their first 2 years at ACC instead of at a university. Plus, they would be closer then if they went to school down in Austin which would be nice.
Hello World!
Well here it is, another personal site for me – Dan Masters. I say another because this is actually the third personal website/blog that I have had in the last 3 years.
The first was idano.net which I started over 5 years ago. Back then it was a photo sharing site that once my wife and I started to have kids they took it over. Now it is the portal for the idano Blog Network so once again I have been booted from it (it’s my blog network, don’t worry).
From there I setup a freely hosted WordPress blog at wordpress.com. danmasters.wordpress.com is still alive (and semi-active) and I post there occasionally. I never really took off on that blog due to the fact that they do not allow you to do any advertising to make money off of it.
