Unfortunately they where starting to melt and things in cars tend to do.

At home I had placed my Reese’s in the freezer in order to get them back to a solid state but what could I do in the car I thought.

Air conditioning!

At first I held the cup in front of the A/C vent and it was working but my fingers started to freeze as well. Then the defroster came to mind. I carefully balanced the cups between the sides of the defroster vent and turned it on full blast.

A few minutes later I had unmelted Peanut Butter Cups.

Note: You need to park in the shade while trying this endeavor.

There is a chance that Chase could buy them but I really do not want to get caught in that transition period when millions of folks are being transitioned at the same time.

The other reasons that Chase is a good switch to us is that we have our mortgage with them and they have a branch that is right down the street from our house. The closet WAMU was quite a distance so going to the bank was always “a trip to the bank”. Having a Chase bank on the corner will add to the convenience factor.

Things that I liked about WAMU were:

  • They never screwed up my account
  • They never screwed up my account and then made me convince them that they screwed up my account (unlike another bank that starts with a “B” and ends with an “A”)
  • They worked with me when I screwed up my account
  • The gave me free checks for life! (who knew it would be so short ;-( )

I hope that Chase is close to being as good of a bank as WAMU was. Farewell WAMU, you were the best bank I ever had.

The commercial went on to say all the reasons why people gain weight – stress, having kids, poor diet, and lack of exercise. Then in the same sentence they went on to say how they have come up with this pill that will help you lose weight as opposed to eliminating stress, eating right, and start exercising. Unbelievable!

What is even more amazing is that I am sure there were people at that very moment listening to that commercial saying to themselves “I wonder if that pill would work for me?”. It is amazing how things can be spun right in front of of our eyes sometimes and we completely miss it.

Amazing.
